Some community events are about more than what happens in a single morning. They become part of the memories people share, the conversations neighbours have afterward, and the feeling of connection that continues long after the day is over.
Lakewood was grateful to welcome the community to Brave Park for Hooves & Hotcakes: Chuckwagon Breakfast Bash, a family-friendly morning filled with pancakes, ponies, and summer community spirit. Thank you to everyone who came out, brought a food donation, spent time with neighbours, and helped make the event feel warm and welcoming.
The morning was a reminder of how meaningful simple community gatherings can be. Whether people stopped by for breakfast, brought their families to enjoy the western-themed fun, or came to connect with friends and neighbours, the event reflected the kind of atmosphere Lakewood continues to build: relaxed, friendly, and centred around bringing people together.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the event possible and to everyone who contributed through non-perishable food donations. Your support helped turn breakfast into something bigger than a morning meal. It became a way to give back while celebrating the community.
Events like Hooves & Hotcakes are part of the larger Lakewood story. They show how a neighbourhood becomes more than a place to live. It becomes a place where people gather, take part, and feel connected to the community around them.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us at Brave Park. We are grateful to be part of such a welcoming community and look forward to seeing everyone at future Lakewood events.
